Feb 10th: Japanese Summer Festival

A lot more people, a lot less stores than expected. “Breakfast” was a wagyu burger from En Izakaya. That sauce was ridiculously runny and dripped over my new hi tops T^T Otherwise, the touch of wasabi was fantastic.

Taiyaki are my new pancakes. I spent 10 minutes in line for this.

Bottom right is wasabi and sake flavoured ice cream. Sake was really subtle but pleasant all the same. Of course, wasabi ended up obscuring the flavour afterwards. It’s brilliantly odd - whilst cool to the tongue, it leaves you with that familiar heated sensation.

I’m not sure what to think, and I’m too proud to ask. I won’t forget this day for a long, long time.

With friends at the St Alban’s lunar new year festival; I had more fun when we were at the playground haha.

Red bean taiyaki excites me.

A late afternoon of baking beef lasagna with some great friends :D Yes, I suck at plating up ^^; And that strawberry and lime cider was baaaaad >.>

Following morning was a compacted barista course, learnt alot of things, and spilt alot of coffee on my jeans. Next step: practice, practice, practice.

Mid-Autumn Festival @ Box Hill
So much food, so much more people @.@ Taiyaki was on offer too :3
Popcorn chicken from the Taiwanese stand. Crispy, mildly juicy bites. Interesting aroma.
