Somehow this one has avoided posting for about a month. I need to stop getting corn fritters and try something else. On this day we went to the North Melbourne Market. Pretty things were sold there :)

Two hours of badminton later (I didn’t even make the entirety of it), we’re hungry, tired and end up at a part-cafe, part-bicycle shop to sate our appetites. There’s two daily specials, tuna salad and a pulled pork burger, and asparagus melt to share between the three of us.
Preserved lemon in the tuna salad provided a nice tang, though it eventually became a bit much for me with the addition of pickled i-can’t-remember-that-vegetable. Would have been better if there was some sweet pumpkin there. I like pumpkin.
Now that I look at the photo, that obscure green object with the burger kinda looks like a leech found its way onto the plate (its a pickle). Plenty of sweet pork and crunchy red cabbage; I enjoyed this one the most.
As for the melt, I’m just not one for too much cheese (it had scamorza as well).
Guzman Y Gomez Mexican Taqueria
Thumbs up for the Grilled Chicken Salad.
Gave up on the bland barramundi burrito. Personally, I don’t like cheese with fish, or cheddar in general.
Shopping with the mother.

The line at Seven Seeds was too long so we got a take away instead (the guy called me David -.-) and had a Thai lunch. Pork curry was served Lukewarm (though the meat was very tender) and the sliced cabbage and carrots were supposedly seasonal vegetables. Mother complained about the presentation of the vermicelli.

Dinnerrr~! They make a good curry. Decided to go with fried tofu salad today, but I still think their potato salad is a better option. Surprisingly enough I haven’t been eating out lately. Not surprisingly, I still haven’t gotten any work done haish.
Never mind, we had a good picnic in the afternoon under the shade of some random tree on the grounds, eating, yelling, filming, shouting at random kids and noting a super spy leaving the grounds. Looking forward to the compilation book.

Guess the note did serve as a wake up call to stop behaving in such an a.s way and emerge from the shell. (If you’re reading this, sorry. Yeah. Realised I forgot to say so when I got home).
Personal issues aside - I’m liking this new cafe! It has a really nice, airy feel (yeah, ‘cause there was a huge window beside me xD) and it’s so…’clean’! Minimalistic could be the word.
Latte was great too! On the light side, but creamy <3 Agogo!

I was already seduced by the sweet smell of curry on entry. My Beef Curry + Potato Salad Set was a steal at $9.50 and the bowls were looking spick and span by the time I was through with it! Beef and vegetables are oh so tender, flavoured by the slightly viscous curry. And then there’s the potato salad - light and fluffy, with what I think was mustard to add a degree of potency.
A well balanced meal that gets an A in both quality and quantity ^^

Sunday lunch and only two tables were occupied which had me wondering about the quality of food xD Apart from excessive oiliness, not bad at all~ (CASHEWS YAY!)

Excuse the quality of the photos, a tram was coming when I took these and my stomach was grumbling ^^;
Point is: If you’re in a rush but can afford a quick detour, head here for some tasty bread rolls. And choose pesto base. Always pesto base.
Total: $5 (Salad roll)
